About ...
Will Taylor was born breech, with Aquarius rising, on the Aires-Pisces cusp on March 22, 1951 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduate work in marine biology, and for reasons not yet fully explained, Will attended medical school at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont (1979-1983), followed by a family practice residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (1983-1986). A painful case of shingles brought him to the care of a colleague who was studying homeopathy, and the resulting miraculous cure inspired him to study homeopathy, initially for the care of his own family. Homeopathy gradually took over his professional practice, as his patients implored him to "treat me like you'd treat your family."
After several years of private practice in downeast Maine, and teaching at the School of Homeopathy New York, Will moved to Portland Oregon in 2002, where he currently serves as chair of the department of homeopathy at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland Oregon. Will has presented at numerous conferences in the US and in Europe, including a 3-year postgraduate program in the Czech Republic, and summerschools in the Czech Republich and Slovakia.
The Projects:
Lectures on Materia Medica
Streaming Video lectures (audio on some of the older features) on materia medica, accompanied by my dowloadable visual materia medica "maps". The 2008 Archives contains 12 installments; the 2009 series receives one new posting each month. Available for unlimited individual use by paid subscription, samples are available here. (The header image, is Erythronium montanum, the Avalanche Lily, an alpine/subalpine flower common in the Oregon cascades where I live).
Chronic Miasms Podcast

These are the recordings of a presentation on the Chronic Miasms, at the National Center for Homeopathy's annual conference in Phoenix Arizona in 2002. I've cleaned up the files, converted them to .mp3 format, broken them up into manageable sections, and posted them sequentially. You may stream the audio files from the site, download the individual files, or subscribe for delivery as PodCast. (The header image is of the town Schloss, castle, in Köthen, Germany, Hahnemann's home during the period of his major work on the Chronic Diseases).
Treatise on the Chronic Miasms

An ongoing treatise, in installments, on the Chronic Miasms from a Hahnemannian perspective.
Pearls of our Materia Medica

A collection of articles from our classical literature, which I find myself frequently referencing. Collected here for ease of linking for my teaching, as well as to provide a short library of the best of the best from our historical literature. (The header image is, well, a pearl).
Colloquies on Homeopathic Practice

(That pic is of a fellow a lot like me, only much younger, lecturing at the summerschool of the Czech medical homeopathic society). I frequently get great questions asked of me when lecturing, or on the online forums I use when teaching, or over a pint in a Czech pub. Some are just too good to answer once, only to see the ensuing discussion dissipate in to the ozone of the universe. I'll recycle them here. Coming late September '09, by paid subscription.
ce.similibus.org
Here is where I post supporting materials (handouts &c.) for my seminars and lectures, along with my teaching calendar and notifications of upcoming events. I am hatching plans for some online continuing education courses, which will be hosted here as well. This runs on a separate site, but authenticates users from the same user database as my mains site; to access the member sections, set up an account here (at http://similibus.org/user/register); the same username/password will work for both sites. (The header image is Aquilegia formosa, the western/red columbine, native to the cascades in Oregon where I live).
